Clinical studies have shown that in severe cases of laminitis, the use of MSCs causes significant pain reduction, immediate stimulation of the hoof growth and a decrease in inflammation and local edema.

The use of MSCs so far has been limited to patients where conventional techniques and treatments had failed and where even humane euthanasia assumed as only option. Despite the seriousness of these patients, the use of stem cells has shown excellent results, both clinically and radiologically.

In cases of severe laminitis, the use of MSCs has raised therapy success rate of 18% to 88%. Thanks to the storing of stem cells at birth, we can dispose of them with full speed and can use in them minor cases, getting, presumably, better results and avoid the pain that the development of this disease in the animal causes.
